As many of you know, koi founder and designer Kathy Peterson is an active participant in koi’s “Healthier, Happier You” year-long weight-loss campaign. Like many of you, she doing her best to stay committed to her weight-loss and fitness goals and attain a healthier balance in her life.
Here is Kathy’s update for April:
“It is hard to believe that April is already here. It was a crazy month for me and everyone at koi. We had all sorts of challenges. We moved offices and I moved my residence. I didn’t plan it that way. There were so many delays on both moves that they ended up falling in the same month, something I would not want to wish on anyone. We love our new offices. It is in a great area. In fact one of my favorite HBO series is renting one of our parking lots for their craft services and trucks. If moving wasn’t enough, we also had our Fall catalog photo shoot. The photos are amazing and we were able to shoot it in our brand new studio.
“I am happy to say that I lost 3 pounds and now weight 127. 17 pounds to go:) I think it is from all the moving. It also helps that I have to climb a flight of stairs to reach my office every day. I received a great tip from my friend Janet, who is a nurse on the east coast. She suggested a great website called Hungry Girl (www.hungry-girl.com) that displays calories and provides you with food tips. I was excited to find vitamin water until I realized there are 2.5 servings per bottle and I was drinking 125 calories instead of 50. That is almost the same as a can of soda.
“I am so proud of all of you who are continuing to work toward a healthier weight. I know it can be tough to stick with a routine. It is important to keep going. Don’t be discouraged by your results. Do a little something every week because you deserve to live a better life.”
To the contestants who are participating in the “Healthier, Happier You” Contest, hang in there and don’t forget to turn in your April updates by April 10th to email@example.com. Thanks!
